"Once you have kids, you realize something pretty quickly. Their dreams become your dreams. And your dreams are inextricably tied to their lives as well." - Libby Kane, How to Create a Family Vision Board, learnvest.com
So creating a family vision board just makes sense, right? But maybe you're wondering if vision boards actually work, beyond being a way to get the whole family doing something fun.
Well, watch the video below for an answer. You'll see my story and know why I believe they do work.
"Every image that I had cut & pasted on that board was real in my life." - ChristieInge.com
So the most important thing to do before you create your family vision board is to get really clear about what you want & to help your family do the same. Then, find words, quotes, and pictures that inspire you, that encourage you, that make you feel the things you want, as if they are happening already, and gather them together on a physical board or an online one.
One of the important issues I will be talking about on this blog is anxiety in children. If you want to create a vision board around solving that problem, you might call it family peace, or peace for ... the name of your child.
Then, find pictures and words that speak to the specific fears & anxieties your child has but that counter them. Like peace or contentment or courage or strength. Include pictures or words of the things your child loves to do, that make him or her feel good and safe.
If you post yours on your blog, come back to share a link - I'd love to see it!
See you next time!
